Asperger's Syndrome and Bullying project?

At the moment I am at the beginning of a project to promote awareness and prevention of bullying and Asperger's Syndrome with a psychologist friend of mine. It will be a book and DVD combined.

I am looking to get contributions for it from people with Asperger's Syndrome (aged 10+) who have been bullied in the workplace, school or society in general. I am a 27 year old Aspie myself who has been bullied in all three spheres.

I would like to get their/your story, how they dealt with the bullying, how they think AS contributed, strategies for dealing with bullying and promoting a safe and secure society for those with AS. Just first names are fine or a fake name if you feel more comfortable. If you know anyone or would like to be involved. Also if you have any questions feel free to email me aarulzau@yahoo.com.au.

Please send them to my email address as an attachment or to

Asperger's Syndrome and Bullying project?
I'm an aspie too.

The picking on issue is two fold.

First, aspies are detectably different from other people. People who are different will always get picked on whether its because of their race, religion or disabilities.

Second, people with aspergers are much more likely to perceive a situation as being picked on when it might not have been. For example, rough play among boys might be considered rough play by a non-aspie, but an attack by an aspie.

In some cases, I have considered simple touching without invitation to be an attack.

As far as asperger awareness, one thing is that its the aspie that needs to be educated and not anyone else. Being tolerant of an aspies quirks is going to make things worse. The aspie needs to make friends with someone he can trust that will point out his social flaws immediately (in plain English) so that he can learn to act more like a neurotypical. In other words, a kind of "Seeing Eye Dog" for people who are socially blind.

In my case, I'm in college right now and was actually expelled for giving a teacher the creeps. Since giving a teacher the creeps is not good grounds, I was reinstated about two weeks later. Couple that with the fact that although I'm better qualified than most job applicants in my field, I can't get past a job interview.
Reply:wow, well i have some experience with this. You may want to look up another term that is synonymous with asperger's. It's hikikomoris. Basically social recluses, in Japan. They stay in their room usually in their late teens and never come out. Report It
Reply:I had a stress "Tick/thing" to lick the skin around my lips and kids called me "bozo" this kid who sat next to me knew that i COULD NOT stand A sound that he could make, like a popping of his lips and he would do it right in my ear until i almost cryed, e-mail me with questions if you want i'll answer them about asperger and bullying, im a 13 female and went to public school up to 5thg grade and did 6 grade + in a homeschool inviroment, i have expirience with adults teasing me at paries too.
Reply:I think people with Asperger syndrome should stand up and fight for their rights what they think is nessesary.

protests

boycotts(a peaceful and effective way)

riots and violence(the final solution)
