Whos gonna win the 2007 AFL grand final?

I think this years grand final will be between Freo and Geelong. West Coast, Sydney, Collingwood and Hawthorn are the only others to get close.



Geelong are in great form and Freo is on the rise and just starting to string wins together with Tarrant and Pavlich looking in great form as is the Ablett brothers for Geelong, Steve Johnson, Jared Rook, and Joel Corey honourable mentions.



Wooden spoon contendors between Melbourne and Richmond..with Richmond very unlucky and the better of the 2 bottom teams currently.

I think that in the Grand Final Kangaroos will meet the West Coast Eagles and in a close match Kangaroos will come away with the flag. I chose Kangaroos in their because after losing the first three, they havent lost a single match since and are in premiership form!



Carlton is my pick for Wooden spoon because Melbourne and Richmond have been SO close over the last few weeks and will start winning matches soon while Carlton look like having no hope in 14th possie

Reply:Well, its early days yet, and I dont agree with you about Freo.....but Geelong are playing bloody well, and I think it will be them, Eagles %26amp; Swans up there, with the swannies winning it by 3 points.



I wouldnt discount Carlton from winning the spoon again either...they have only 2 wins and Melb %26amp; Tigers have been playing ok

richmonds gonna get the wooden spoon this year, but i thought they played good against essendon though (that was not a free kick - at the end)
Reply:Right now I'd say Geelong and West Coast but with the teams rise and falls on the ladder and injuries, form, etc. Hard to tell yet, You never know.

Reply:West Coast, quite comfortably. When Daniel Kerr returns to the side next week, the Eagles will continue their dominance of the league as per the past two seasons. How anyone can not tip the Eagles to be in the Grand Final is beyond me. They are the reigning premiers, and are currently sitting on top of the ladder even with two of the Leagues greatest current players out on suspension/personal.
Reply:Nah I've gotta say I doubt Freo's Grand Final chance, they have'nt been playing great football lately. They rely too heavily on Tarrent and Pavilich, I reckon Pavlich is overrated and purple looks bad on Tarrant. Sorry had to add that in.



However, Eagles are right up there, as you would expect. As soon as they get their goal kicking much more accurate they will be the team to beat. GO WEST COAST



Swans have kind of disapointed me so far thi season, but I won't right them off yet.



Geelong are playing mighty well! They have a great chance of the Flag this year and they will remain strong for the next few years.



I love Richmond and they will get better. The premiership teams of today were the wooden spooners of yesterday.
