Would anyone have any information of a sinking ferry in 1950-1951 on the Yarra River with Ukrainians on Board?

A 21 year old man drowned. The ferry was on its way to Hawthorn Tea Gardens. I am after a photo of two little girls sitting on the banks of the Yarra after being pulled out of the river and which appeared in the Sun Newspaper on the front page. Can anyone help me please.

Do you know the name of the ferry that sank? If you had that information it might make your search more successful, in my opinion. I did find a link but don't know if this will

work. Good luck!
Reply:good luck in your pursuit.it sounds like a pretty obscure news event.
Reply:sorry can't find a thing on it.
Reply:NO!! That was a long time ago, they may not have the info anymore.
