Should the Melbourne Demons relocate to the Gold Coast?

Hawthorn chairman and former Victorian Premier (or Mexican El Presidente, if you will) Jeff Kennett has suggested that the Melbourne Demons relocate to take up the Gold Coast's AFL franchise.



Should they take his advice, or should his Hawks move there instead?

Reply:I can see why Kennett thinks this is a great idea - look at the success of Hawthorns alliance with Tasmania and how much money that is generating for their club, and boy have they been doing well since the alliance began!



But to abruptly suggest that Melbourne relocate in the blink of an eye is ridiculous. They are a founding team of the AFL and despite the fact that they are struggling in various ways, I think it is completely disrespectful of him.



For some reason Kennett thinks his love of the Hawthorn Footy Club and his presidency makes him the be all and end all of all things AFL. Melbourne should not have to put up with "know it all" comments from him. He is not State Premier anymore so he needs to get over being in everyone else's business and stick to his own job.
Reply:it might be good for the demons to relocate to the gold coast if things to get out of hand ,, the afl is ther for them to help them relocate and l can see the kangaroos hitting there heads against the wall in 3 yrs time cause there gonna be in big trouble and wishing they went north instead of the demons...the demons will be very powerful up north ,,,
Reply:No they should stay, and i think if the Hawks were to move (and i hope they don't) it wouldn't be to Gold Coast.
